ChatTTS is one of the most popular open-source TTS projects of 2024, developed by the 2noise team specifically for conversational scenarios. The project rapidly amassed over 30,000 stars on GitHub, establishing itself as a benchmark in Chinese speech synthesis models. ChatTTS’s core innovation lies in deeply integrating prosody modeling with conversational contexts — the model focuses not only on pronunciation accuracy but also on natural tonal inflections, rhythmic pauses, and smooth multi-speaker transitions, making synthesized speech sound like authentic human conversation.
Architecturally, ChatTTS employs an end-to-end framework trained on large-scale conversational data, covering over 100,000 hours of Chinese and English speech.
